FAQ

How old are you, and where are you from?
I'm 29, and live in Melbourne, Australia.

What made you start your blog?
Originally I wanted to create a post a day, sharing the little things I did every day. Then when I was reading it back, I realised it was only interesting to me. I wanted to create a blog that people would be interesting to read, and would be useful for a large range of people. Now I write about the things I love.

How do I start my own blog?
There is a huge choice of websites for people wanting to start their own blogs! I would highly recommend to try Blogger first. It's easy to use, easy to understand, and you can customise a large range of things, without needing a degree in electronic communications.

If I wanted to start my own blog, what would I write about?
Write about things that make you happy! If you're writing purely to get things off your chest, then just write what you think. If you're interested in creating a group of readers, you need to appeal to them. Pick a niche and write about things in that category. Including photos, and being relatable will always help.

How do you get people to read your blog?
I share links to my blog and my posts on all of my various social media platforms, I also use #hashtags! I also love reading other bloggers posts, and commenting on them! You need to get out into the blogging community. I know it can be frustrating when you've written a few posts, and feel like no one is listening. But be patient, when I first started the only person reading my blog was my boyfriend haha.

Where do you get your ideas from, for each post?
Sometimes they just come to me, other times I have complete mental blanks, and might not post for a few weeks. I find that if I'm having trouble coming up with ideas, I'll talk to my friends and work colleagues about things they might be interested in reading. If it's something new to me, I try to always research it, and try things out, before I post about them.
