Hey, I'm Still Alive!

Hello out there!

Yes, believe it or not, I am still alive and kicking over here. A few things have changed since my last post.. I had a baby! Not going to lie, he's pretty damn cute. His name is Theodore and he's a goober. He's just over 3 months old now, and I love him to bits. Becoming a mum was by far the best decision I have ever made. We have ever made I mean, cause ya know, making a baby generally takes two people.

What else... Well, Justin and I are moving out of our house. It's far too expensive and we'd rather be paying off our own mortgage than someone else's. We'll be moving into Justin's parents house, which should be interesting. They've been very generous in accepting us, and we can't thank them enough.

Ummm, Those are the major things in my life that have changed, so now you're all caught up. Oh, I'm also learning to sew, so that's kind of cool. I think my lovely little blog will probably be changing around a little now that I'm a mum. I'm going to try posting some tutorials on sewing, some recipes on food for both adults and kids (cause they eat food too!), maybe some fashion posts, and most likely some random nonsense as we go along!

Thanks to everyone who has stuck by me and still checks in every now and then. Hopefully I'll be able to keep it up to date a bit better now that Justin has a new laptop.

Next up, the story of Theo's birth! Cause what's better to read than how a baby comes into the world.

Lots of love,

Mumma T

Cupcakes & Corsetry

Wow have I missed you guys!

I've been up to my eyeballs in projects, from DIY'ing my house, to adventuring the local markets.

Anyway, you're probably wondering why I've titled this post Cupcakes & Corsetry? Well, let me tell you...

Once upon a time, in a galaxy far far away...

Nah, just kidding! I've been invited to participate in a photo shoot, and the theme is Cupcakes, and Corsetry. Kinda self explainatory really, but I'm super excited!

I've been buying new things for my makeup kit, like a new large travel case:

I'm also looking to buy a couple of DIY pallets, so I can depot some of my eyeshadows, and make up my own specialised pallets, but I'll get to that soon enough.

I'm so excited for this photoshoot! Dan and I have been hanging out on Wednesday nights, trialling a few makeup looks. The theme for the shoot is pretty awesome, and as long as it includes corsets, or cupcakes, we have free reign! I might even end up modelling... goodie.

Now, onto the adventures at the local market! Alex, Nick, Justin and I went to the Dandy market on Sunday a couple of weeks ago, we were originally just going to have a look around. But we ended up leaving with a boot full of goodies! Justin and I ended up buying quite a few books, to add to our ever growing collection (so many books, we now have 5 bookcases full, and need to buy another one...), I bought a couple Stuart Macbride novels, and Justin bought a few fantasy novels (can't remember which ones).

Then we thought we might as well have a look at the fresh fruit and vegies while we're here. Boy was that fun! I bought a fortnight's worth of vegies for under $40! The produce is all great quality, and really fresh.

Anyway, hopefully I'll be able to write a few more posts soon, to bring all my beautiful readers up to speed with my wonderful life recently.

Much love,

J xx
