New Purrrr-chases

Hey guys and gals, I've been out being a busy busy girl, and I've come back with some new shiny things! Mainly fashion items...

Firstly, I don't consider myself fashionable by any means of the word, I just know what I like, and I like what I know. I don't try to follow trends, or 'what suits me', I buy what I feel comfortable in.
I don't really have 'brands' that I gravitate towards, I just look for something interesting and 'me'.

So here goes!

Today, Katrina and I went vintage shopping (no photos, sadly), to a little known vintage warehouse sale. They only have the sale every now and then, and I haven't had the chance to go, before today. We drove for about 45 mins to get there, and I must admit, I was a little very disappointed. They had beautiful clothes, but everything was teeny tiny sizes (ie, USA size 5). The whole place was a little shambled, everything thrown in boxes, or hung half hazardly on portable clothes racks. I can understand not making the sale 'pretty', but they could have at least gone to a little effort to organise things in some sort of sizing. It was hellish trying to sort through everything.

So the sale was a bust, but we hadn't lost hope! There is a little (or what I thought was little) op shop off Warrigal Road, that I drive past every day to and from work, but I've never had the time to go in. Well, today was the day!
It's freaking huge! I now own awesome new shoes, earrings, and sunnies:
Super cute $4 shoes!

New pale pink/clear sunnies!
New light-as-a-feather earrings

Definitely not a total bust of a day, plus I got to spend it with my best friend!

Talk soon!

Op Shop Bonanza!

As you may or may not already know, I love Halloween. I mean LOVE it. Sometimes to the point where I want to move to America for the month, just so I can celebrate it. But sadly, I still live in Australia, so I just try to do my best.

This year, my friend Dan is hosting a party at her house, and my other friend Alex and I are helping to organise it. Now when I say helping, I actually mean taking over and going all OCD on their asses. What can I say, I'm a massive control freak and I shouldn't be allowed to make lists.

Anyway, for this super amazing party, we're theming Dan's house, like a House Of Horrors.
So far we have guts, gore, ghouls and grossness. I don't want to ruin anything in case one of the party goers happens across this post, but I will update you after the party so you can see the amazingness that is me.

In preparation for the party, Alex, Justin and I went shopping. Op shopping to be precise. We started in Fountain Gate at Savers, where we picked up some Styrofoam heads, a black velvet skirt and a couple of other bits and bobs.

Then we headed out to Narre Warren and Cranbourne, in which we came up blank unfortunately. But not all hope was lost!

We ventured to Dandenong, and came up chips! Alex found $8 Chuck Taylors in her size, and I found a leather jacket, which suits me, and my costume perfectly.

We ended up in Stud Park, where we found a black top to complete Dan's costume.

So all in all a very productive day! I'm so excited about the party and can't want to take all the photos to show you!

Love

Money v Style

I love shopping, but I love my money more. It's a love hate relationship.
I love how amazing something is, I just hate parting with my hard earned cash.

Thankfully, I have an amazing mum who understands a girls need to be stylish.

Every Thursday, mum and I have dinner, and every now and then we go out shopping afterwards. Very rarely does she buy me anything, mainly because I tell her not to waste her money, but on the odd occasion I agree, and I'm sent home with something fabulous.

Last night was a great night for my jewellery collection. I was sent home with a fabulous statement necklace, and a couple of ear cuffs.

Neither of us are big spenders, so we generally find things on special, or buy at discount stores.

My eagle necklace ($15) and cuff earrings($5) are from Diva at Knox.

Stay tuned for the next blog, where I'll showcase some of my other trinkets!
